Administrative Assistant

Overview: To work with and support the Griefwalk Director by providing office support, handling a range of tasks including scheduling, communication, document preparation, and maintaining records. 

Responsibilities:

  • First level response to inquiries
  • Plan for and oversee the preparation aspects for grief groups and training 
  • Update and maintain records
  • Keep track of supplies and supplement as needed
  • Administrative support to the Director and the Griefwalk volunteer team

Qualifications:

  • Compassionate character with a passion for bereaved people
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Workspace expertise
  • Effective skills in record maintenance
  • Proven administrative experience
  • Knowledge and respect for the policies, procedures, and core values of Lakeside Church
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to keep confidentiality

Reports To: Griefwalk Director

Status: 

  • This position is part-time: 8-10 hours per week
  • Some evening and/or weekend work may be necessary
  • A current criminal reference check will be required
