During the COVID-19 situation, our grief support has taken on a new shape to offer virtual and phone supports. Whether feeling the recent loss of a loved one, having intense feelings of loss resurface, or just needing a safe place where you can join together to talk and connect, we have supports available to help.
Mixed Loss Grief Support Groups
Join us in a safe and confidential online space to connect and talk about our grief. We use a peer-to-peer-based approach with two trained support facilitators. It is a place you can join to connect with others who are grieving a death and talk about thoughts and feelings, while also learning coping strategies. This group is for adults over the age of 18. It will run for 8 consecutive weeks on Zoom. Instructions on how to connect are easy and will be provided upon registration. There is no charge for this group.
Thursdays | May 21-July 9 | 7-8:30pm
1:1 Virtual Grief Companioning
If you are over the age of 18 and have experienced the recent loss of a loved one (spouse, child, parent, sibling, friend etc), you will be matched 1-1 with a trained volunteer grief companion who will offer you support either over the phone or through video conferencing. Please note, we are not therapists, counsellors or mental health professionals. We offer a peer-based support to walk this leg of the journey with you. You are not alone; we are here to help. This is a free service.
